Meet all of your psychological services needs from one professional organization!

Our clinicians have been providing these critical evaluations since 2000, and have developed a comprehensive evaluation and report that is cost effective.

We employ a special online system to gather information from candidates which will help provide information for our evaluation and support background investigations. Our examiners will provide an opinion regarding the likelihood that a candidate can safely perform the essential functions of a law enforcement position, which include the following:

  • Adaptability and Flexibility
  • Assertiveness
  • Avoidance of Risk-Taking Behaviors
  • Conscientiousness and Dependability
  • Decision-Making and Judgment
  • Emotional Regulation and Stress Tolerance
  • Impulse Control and Attention to Safety
  • Integrity and Ethics
  • Social Competence
  • Teamwork

These may be necessary in two circumstances. The first occurs when an employee has been involved in a critical incident, such as a shooting or the death of a coworker, or a personal crisis. We can help to assure that your people are ready to safely return to duty.

The second circumstance occurs when an employee’s behavior has suggested the possible presence of a psychological impairment which might impair their ability to safely perform their duties. These examinations attempt to rule in or out the presence of an impairment, and examine the impact of a possible impairment on the employee’s ability to safely perform their duties.

This system is a comprehensive online questionnaire completed by the candidate that collects detailed descriptions of personal history. It provides data for background investigators as well as for our evaluations. It is user friendly, effective, and inexpensive.

policePeersPeer counseling is a widely used tool to provide support to members involved in critical incidents or who are undergoing significant stress. Police officers feel more understood by co-workers. Our program supports the selection and training of peer counselors, and provides clinical oversight to organized Peer Support Teams.

These consist of informal one hour annual meetings with one of our providers for the purpose of providing support to employees and to help establish relationships with providers. They are voluntary and confidential. They are not fitness evaluations (Check In… not “check up”). Some agencies provide these to all employees, and some identify those who may be at higher risk for negative psychological impact.

We have developed a statewide network of mental health providers with special skills in assisting first responders. Your employees can refer themselves in complete privacy to a knowledgeable, licensed and insured professional. Help your people remain working in public safety as long as they wish, rather than as long as hey can endure.

We can help make difficult promotion decisions using psychological testing and our overall expertise.

We can support your folks who have been involved in a critical incident, by performing debriefings and other interventions. Our training is up to sate as of April of 2017.
